Foundry is live. Since 19 September, opening Architect opens Foundry: every account and every project moved across automatically, with nothing to export, re-import, or rebuild. If you had a world in Architect, it is waiting for you exactly where you left it.
What changed
Architect used to be a pipeline: lore in one end, engine data out the other. Foundry is a narrative design tool. You still import the lore you already have, but now you also build the world and the gameplay inside it, and the two never drift apart.
- Start from a premise, not a finished bible. Foundry generates inside your world: characters, relationships, story arcs, and behaviour, all anchored to what your world already establishes. Everything arrives as a draft you accept or reject.
- Your lore can stay where it lives. Import straight from Confluence, Notion, and Google Drive instead of exporting and uploading.
- Characters who sound like themselves. Voice profiles per character, dialogue drafted against them, and a rehearsal room where two characters improvise until a voice feels right.
- Gameplay you can check before you build it. Actions carry a short script your engine can act on. The validator reports what is broken, and the simulator tells you whether a player can actually reach the ending.
- Every language, one canon. View and export your whole world in another language without touching the original.
- Teams. Studios with writer seats, roles, and one shared canon. Viewers are never counted.
- Made for people and agents alike. A command line with everything the web app can do, and a Narrator inside the product that operates Foundry when you ask in plain language.
Export works as it always did: Unity, Unreal, JSON, and custom templates, with a full world bundle you can take anywhere.
Plans
Architect starts free and has four paid plans: Starter at EUR 5 a month, Pro at EUR 20, Max at EUR 50, and Studio+ at EUR 200 per writer seat with no base fee. Every plan gets every authoring tool; plans differ in depth, priority, and how much AI usage you get each week. Nothing you make is capped, and your world exports whole on every plan. Everyone who already had an account keeps everything they had. The full lineup is on the pricing page.
